Hello all,

this is a free space created to help and support the gay life and rights of people in Bulgaria.
Everyone is free to discuss anything related to any gay issues.
The Government of the Republic of Bulgaria does not recognize same sex-marriage, civil unions or any other form of registered partnership. The law is desperately conservative, completely outdated, and discriminative. We must change that and we will.
Gay people should have the same rights just as any other citizen of Bulgaria.
There is a petition that is open for people to sign and support same sex-marriage and civil unions in Bulgaria.

Well, there is no represion, Bulgaria is a free state. There are anti-discrimination laws. It is not as bad as you might think. For a South-Eastern country Bulgaria is way ahead compared to the other countries in that area. Today there is a big event,Gay Pride 2008 in the nation's capital- Sofia.
The Constitution states that marriage is performed only between a man and a woman, that must change. By same rights I ment the right to marry.
Thanks for the support
